Astrology 101 - The Astrological Alphabet: Signs-Planets-Houses

This is an introduction to Astrology given over the course of a weekend. In this tape series, the basic meaning of the signs, planets and houses, including the Ascendant and Midhaven will be explained. The overall purpose of the class is to get the student familiar with the astrological terms so that s/he can read their own chart in an effective but simple way.
The taping was done in a class room setting. There are seven 90 minute audio tapes and the original handouts are provided with the tape series.

Astrology 102 - Natal Aspects: Joining together the Signs and Planets

This weekend workshop is the second in Phil's series of astrological classes. This class is designed to familiarize the student with the fourth part of the astrological alphabet, Natal Aspects. Natal aspects are angular relationships between the planets that connect the planets to each other. This will improve the student's ability to interpret their chart or other's charts.
The original handouts are provided with the tapes. There are six 90 minute audio tapes.

Astrology 103 - Finding the Central Theme in the Natal Chart

The purpose of this class is to put all of the astrological rules into play so that the details can be sorted out. Usually a student will find themselves overwhelmed with data, so much so, that it is difficult to make any sense of the chart. In this one day class, a step by step procedure is explained so that the student can get to the heart of the chart instead of being confounded by the details.

This is a basic look at how Saturn influences our lives by it's placement in the natal chart. The basic definition of Saturn is given as well as the meaning of Saturn in each sign and each house.

Relationships - Can We Love to Acceptance the Differences

Phil take a distinctive approach to looking at synestry and composite charts (relationship charts). Besides providing the traditional approach to synestry and composite charts in this talk, Phil gives us a way to look at how planets from different charts actually work together. He goes beyond the Venus in Capricorn trines Venus in Taurus, therefore your Venus's are compatible concepts. He explains how to work with planetary energy between two charts rather than thinking that planets in like elements are harmonious.

Derivative Houses - Houses Within Houses

Derivative house technique is used most frequently in Horary astrology. By expanding this technique into natal interpretation, one can gain may more meanings of the houses besides the traditional meanings. As an example, the 7th house rules partnerships. The 8th house is the 2nd house from the 7th house. Therefore, the 8th house rules resources of the partner. As another example, the 10th house rules career. The 11th house is the 2nd house from the 10th, therefore the 11th house is the money or resources that you earn from your career.

The 12th House - Unlocking the Secrets

Phil takes a novel approach to understanding the 12th house. He uses the derivative house method to give a much greater meaning to the 12th house, rather than the usual definitions. An example of the derivative house method is that the 6th house is the 2nd house from the 5th, therefore; the 6th rules the resources of the children. Another example is that the 12th house from the 7th house is the 6th house or your partner's house of spiritual pursuits.

Intercepted Signs - Why Can't I Find That Sign on The House Cusp

Intercepted signs are signs that don't appear on the house cusps but are there in the chart. This is area of astrology that it is usually hard to get any information about. Phil explains interceptions and how they manifest in the chart. He explains how often, interceptions create a central theme around which relationships and career choices are made.
